The New Mexico chapter of the American Automobile Association, AAA NM, is offering free catalytic converter etching on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on CNM Main Campus' Ted Chavez Hall (900 University Blvd). Etching a catalytic converter with your VIN helps police track the converter if it's stolen. Catalytic converters are expensive and have been a major target for thieves throughout the area.
