Jackie Alofaituli, a local Polynesian cook, will guide us through the making of Pani Popo (Samoan sweet bread rolls baked in coconut milk sauce) and Musubi (a beloved Hawaiian snack).
May is Asian Pacific Islander and South Asian American (APISAA) Heritage Month, and CNM is proud to celebrate this community's extraordinary breadth of cultures, languages, traditions, and histories - from the Pacific Islands to South Asia, from multigenerational New Mexico families to students and colleagues who are the first in their families to call this state home. The community's contributions to our college and our nation are profound and enduring, and this month is an opportunity to learn, listen, and celebrate together.
